We recently had the opportunity to be part of the Shailer Racing event held at Lakelands Golf Course on the Gold Coast, and it was a day that delivered on every level.
Lakelands Golf Course is known as one of the Gold Coast’s premier golf destinations, and it provided the perfect setting for a day that brought together great golf, strong community connections and a high-quality event experience.
From the moment players arrived, there was a great atmosphere across the course, with plenty of excitement building throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the day was the Hole in One competition, where participants had the chance to win a golf cart.
These competitions always bring an extra level of energy, and this one was no different. Every group that stepped up to the tee had the same thought in mind, and there were some very close shots that had everyone watching.
Being part of the competition allowed us to showcase what we do in a real golf course environment, where performance, reliability and presentation all matter.

Luke plays a key role in bloodstock and client relations at Shailer Racing, bringing extensive experience across both Australian and international racing industries. Raised in racing, he began his career in New Zealand before expanding internationally, gaining experience in France and the United Kingdom with leading trainers.
Since returning to Australia, Luke has worked with respected trainers including Gillian Heinrich and Chris Waller, building strong industry relationships and developing a reputation for professionalism, communication and a deep understanding of horses.
Alongside his riding career, Luke has been involved in bloodstock selection and racing consultancy, working with clients both locally and internationally. His experience includes sourcing horses for ownership groups such as Lim’s Stable and contributing to racing and breeding data projects with organisations including the Hong Kong Jockey Club and the New York Racing Association.
At Shailer Racing, Luke focuses on bloodstock selection, owner engagement and delivering a high-level client experience, acting as a key link between the stable, the sales process and ownership groups.
